At a pound and two ounces test curve it is a touch more powerful than a traditional avon and at eleven foot it is light enough to sit and touch leger with forever and a day. The curve is sweet, sweeter than brown sugar and totally forgiving the thought of playing a big chub or a specimen roach on the River and Stream is mouth-watering in the extreme. Not that this rod is a total pussycat far from it. It is slightly steelier in its lower section than a traditional avon.
